Chucky is very special 5 month old boy who came into care a month ago. He is a Husky Cross who is extremely shy and we are looking for a very specific forever home…here is an update from his foster:
Chucky is quiet and nervous around people and will need an understanding home with very patient parents. His playful puppy nature really comes out around other dogs and would need to be in a home with another younger, playful, and confident dog.
He’s very sweet natured but likes to have a quiet place of his own to retreat to if feeling overwhelmed. He’s mostly house trained but if he gets scared, he will pee or poop.
He is definitely food motivated and will take treats and food from your hand, which will be a good way to get him to open out. He likes to play tug with his foster brother and will play a good game of keep away with a toy.
He has come a long way in a short while and I know he has the potential to be a great dog for the right family. Although he has been around kids, I’m not sure if the noise and unpredictability that is common with younger kids is a good fit for him because he is so nervous and shy.”
If you think you may be the right home for Chucky …you are patient and have a younger very well natured dog who likes to play and no small children, please fill put an application!!Apply to Adopt
