She was a savage…classy, bougie, ratchet. Sassy, moody and nasty. Yup, she was that b**ch.
Dawson is ultimately a bad ass momma who had a tough start in life. She straight up had seen some s**t and is happy to be on the other side of it.
Dawson came from a feral colony in Dawson Creek (see what was done there??) and was trapped with her four 2-week-old kittens. Sadly two of her babes didn’t make it but with the hard work and determination of her first caregiver, Dee, the remaining two kittens made it and Dawson started to get used to human contact.
Dawson got to stay with us longer than usual because she was all of those things that I mentioned earlier, but with an amazing group of dedicated volunteers she has realized that human love and companionship is pretty great. Now that her kittens have moved on and found their forever homes it is her time to just relax and focus on writing her rhymes in a home of her own.
She will definitely need someone who understands that she may want a safe hidey hole for the first week or 3 but she will also desperately want you to reach in and pet her. A lot. Because she does grab your hand (and occasionally mouth your hand) when you stop petting her she would do best in a home with no small children, but it should be said that she has done great with kids over 10 years of age while at the shelter.
