Mary-Kate is a confident, spunky, adventure seeking 3 year old husky saluki cross. She is currently about 40 pounds and could use a little more weight but she will always be a small framed dog. Do you enjoy training dogs or interested in learning how to? Mary-Kate is super smart and eager to learn. She is people motivated and would be a very rewarding dog to work with if you are interested teaching tricks or even getting her to help around the house. She is an athletic dog and would love to head out for adventures but the most important thing for her is to be with her people. Being left for a full work day would probably be hard for her at this time so someone who has a more flexible schedule would work well for her. As a retired sled dog Mary-Kate has not learned all the rules and expectations that come with living in a home so she will need someone who understands that it is like having a big puppy in their home. Gentle guidance and patience is always a requirement in these transitions. Mary-Kate is peacefully living with other dogs but she can be a bit bossy so as long as the other dogs don’t push her and respect her needs she will be fine. If you have a home where Mary-Kate can enjoy many adventures with her humans and develop into the amazing dog she is bound to be please fill in an application.
