Odi is an 18 month old English Mastiff! His story unfortunately is not unique… Like many dogs looking for new homes, he was purchased from a backyard breeder as gift when he was a just a little puppy… Of course as a puppy everyone loved to hold, snuggle, play and take him for walks , but as Odi grew bigger, bigger and BIGGER the time that his people wanted to spend with him got smaller, smaller and smaller…. Soon he was banished to being tied up outside, or in a crate. This meant that no one was there to teach him walk on a leash, basic manners, such as how to say hi to people and animals! Thankfully his people realized that this was no life for a dog and surrendered him. Since being in care Odi is learning about boundaries and personal space. Odi is a lover of all and would love to have a couch to grow old on. He still has lots of catching up to do on his learning, but with time and patience he is going to be a great companion. Because of his size and outgoing personality we are recommending he go to a home with no small kids, as he will definitely knock them over. Odi is very playful with other dogs so he should be paired with a dog that can tolerate this giant bouncy boy!!
