Ruth, also known as McGonagall, has had another disappointing week.  She keeps getting adopters who say they will love her forever, but then return her because she wasn’t what they wanted.  All of us at Victoria Humane Society can’t understand why she keeps getting all the bad luck.  She has been in several foster homes that all love her and she is well behaved and great with her foster dog friends.  She is good on leash, quiet in the house, and even seems ok with her new dog savvy cat friends.  She is an older girl, and has had a really rough past.  She takes a little bit to learn to trust, and unfortunately with every failed adoption this just proves to her that humans can’t stick around.  However in her foster homes she soon becomes a loving devoted friend who just wants to snuggle and spend time with her family.  She enjoys short walks, but is also happy to just hang out in the back yard.  We are really hoping there is someone out there who is willing to give Ruth the love and attention she deserves, has enough patience to earn her trust, and a fluffy dog bed for her to enjoy her retirement years.  Due to the abuse she has witnessed in the past, she is best suited to a home without small children.  She loves them, but can get scared with unpredictable movements, and she doesn’t enjoy being poked, prodded, or climbed on.  If you have a soft spot in your heart for senior dogs who deserve a chance, please apply for Ruth today <3
